Gondolas built at the Squero Tramontin are made from eight different types of wood – oak, cherry, larch, linden, walnut, mahogany, elm and fir (marine plywood is now used instead of fir). Tramontin gondolas are renowned for their:

Thanks to Domenico Tramontin’s original cantiere (the supporting structure on which the gondola is built), the Tramontin gondola is perfectly balanced, thus facilitating maneuvers in the narrower canals of Venice even during the highest tides.

The longevity of the Tramontin gondolas is ensured by the use of carefully selected types of wood and the skill of the artisans.
